Homecoming II: Days of Our Lives

Kim Whye Kee, curated by John Tung

Solo Exhibition

28 Jan - 2 Feb 2025, 11am - 7pm

Kim Whye Kee invites you to rediscover and celebrate cherished childhood memories in Homecoming II: Days of Our Lives.

As he returns to Art Outreach for a second year, his exquisite pieces continue to capture the whimsy and wonder of bygone times; recalling the simple joys of our childhood toys and games.

Adorned with hand-painted motifs of gem biscuits, five stones, chapteh, and native flora, these creations are a heartfelt ode to happy childhood memories and our enduring connection to nature.

This is also your last chance to acquire a piece made from the last of Whye Kee’s stock of local clay excavated from the Tampines quarry back in the 1960s — a tangible piece of Singapore’s history.
